Quality & Systems

Since 2004, when the Management of Gutschermühle decided to rebuild the Quality System and to go for a IFS/BRC certification change is the only constant. Dozens of new products were developed by our RnD team, several products were withdrawn from the market. The quality of the mueslis and cereal bars, however, always had to be “world-class”. In 2005 we were, to our knowledge, the first Private label cereal bar producer in Europe awarded with both, the IFS (higher level) and the BRC certificate. Since then we could defend our status from year to year. It is necessary to mention that the Standards we are working against are only the framework of our Quality System, they are worth nothing if operators do not live the spirit of quality. To improve this and to automate quality related processes, we perform annual trainings and put relevant day-to-day information on our Infoscreen-system. Thanks to an idea of our Technicians we have implemented a continuous improvement tool which speeds up the improvement process dramatically.
